St Katharine Docks

HMS President
72 St Katharine’s Way
London  E1W 1UQ

This prestigious riverfront property was used by the ‘Spirit of Chartwell’ during the Queen’s Jubilee Celebration to provide the mooring point to allow the Royal Salute by the flotilla and featured in the BBC coverage of the event.

HMS President is part of the St Katharine Docks development – a 5 minute walk from Tower Hill Underground station – and is undoubtedly the most spectacular buildings within the Alternative Venues/London portfolio.

The large decked area overhangs the Thames and is a few hundred yards from Tower Bridge.  It provides the most idyllic setting for an evening summer drinks party for up to 60 people, with the sun setting behind the bridge to the West.

The glass barrel vaulted Drill Deck, with its regal arches and stately pillars provides an unusual and elegant setting for meetings, receptions, or dinners.   Alternatively there is the Presentation Room which can take up to 50 people, theatre style or 30 as a classroom.

The Wardroom/Dining Room, with stunning views over the Thames to Butler’s Wharf and up to Tower Bridge can accommodate a variety of functions for up to 100 guests.

HMS President also can provide catering and waiting staff who have vast experience in making any occasion very special.
